The above photograph was taken in 1991. Ten years later a giant eucalyptus tree had become established in the garden just beyond the Bell on the corner with Icknield Way. Ten years later it had been felled having forced the wall over and which had to be rebuilt.
This view of the Bell probably dates from the late 1930s. The licensee at this time was Edward Elyard, whose name is on the sign above the door. Note the pub sign faces the road. According to www.norfolkpubs.co.uk, the licensees have been:
