(Above) Looking west along Anmer Rd. Probably about 1930 judging by the car and the pram. Note that the telephone had come to Flitcham.

(Below) a much earlier view - the houses in Church Rd are single storey and the cottages just beyond the Old Bakehouse have a Mansard roof. And not a lorry in sight! (Could that be a simple flue pipe from a solid fuel stove sticking out of the Chapel roof?).
